I have a BA from UNCC in History with a minor in political science. Currently, I am enrolled in a Masters in History and Government program at Ashland University, where I have 20 hours of graduate credit thus far. In 2005, I completed my masters degree in Library Science, so I am also a certified media specialist.
Experience
I was a private tutor for a local student in middle school for all of his subjects. In addition, I have taught AP US Government and Politics for 9 years, and have taught AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. All together, I have 19 years teaching experience. My teaching certification covers 9-12 in Social Studies. In addition, I have earned national board certification in teaching high school social studies, which I completed in 2007.

Hobbies
I enjoy being active, especially exercising, cycling, and occasionally playing golf. I enjoy working on my home, including many tile and painting projects. I am a huge college and pro football fan as well. I have a deep love of history, and spend a lot of time reading in my spare time. Also, I enjoy traveling, which I do with my family each year.
